PlayStation Plus adds a ton of bonus freebies for November

Sony’s PlayStation Plus subscription service is the gift that keeps on giving, so long as you continue to pay the subscription fee, of course.

PlayStation Plus is available in three tiers.PS PlusEssential is basically the same tier prior to the 2022 revision which includes a selection of monthly games, member discounts, bonus free DLC and more. PS Plus Extra offers everything included in the Essential tier but with a much wider selection ofPS5andPS4games to choose from.

As for PS Plus Premium, this includes everything included in the previous two tiers as well as trials, streaming, access toPlayStationCore and more. Speaking of which, PlayStation Core is the topic of discussion for today’s article.

In case you didn’t know, Sony Bravia Core, a movie and TV streaming platform similar to Prime Video was rebranded as Sony Pictures Core on 5 October 2023. What’s more, if you subscribe to PS Plus Premium, you will getaccess to PlayStation Corewhich offers a curated selection of around a hundred movies.

Sure, the selection isn’t that great, but when topped with the recent ability tostream PlayStation 5games, it at least justifiesSony’s recent PS Plus hike, even if just a little. Though it does include gems such asDjango: Unchained,Black Hawk DownandZombielandto name a few.

However, from now until 30 November 2023, all PS Plus subscribers (regardless of the tier) will be gifted a 15% discount on all purchases and rentals on Sony Pictures Core via the PlayStation app. This means that the cost to purchase the newGran Turismomovie is reduced from £13.99 to £11.89.Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Versewill also cost £11.89 or £4.67 to rent instead of £5.49.
