The latest PlayStation Plus feature is launching today in Japan bringing a whole new way to play for premium subscribers.
PlayStation Plus subscribersalready have access to so many great features, including a huge game catalogue and cloud saves. Now, however, we have ahuge feature in cloud streaming. That’s right, now you can stream your favourite PS5 games to a variety of platforms as a run up to the launch of the PlayStation Portal handheld.
Cloud streaming is here for PS5
The cloud streaming benefit is currently available in Japan, but will roll out to Europe around 23 October and North America around 30 October. You will need a premium subscription, which is the top tier of PlayStation Plus currently and the service can only stream digital titles, rather than disc-based games.

You might be asking, what’s the difference between cloud streaming and the older ‘remote play’ feature. Remote play requires the game you want to play be downloaded locally on thePlayStation console; cloud streaming does not, so it could save a little space on your precious SSD.
It’s worth noting that when using the cloud streaming option your save files will go straight to the cloud, rather than to yourPS5 console. Ensure your saves are fully synched if you find yourself flitting between home play and cloud play.
