In 2017 we were greeted withThe Evil Within 2which looked to improve on its predecessor in every way including detective Seb being able to sprint for a little bit longer. Whether developer Tango Gameworks achieved success over the original game will depend on who you ask. The sequel also brought a sandbox open map that encouraged the player to explore for crafting resources, and secrets and partake in side stories. However, much like the first game in the series,The Evil Within 2received somewhat of a mixed reception from fans of the genre.
“Do you recommendThe Evil Within 2?”askedRedditor CA-22. “I recently played all the REmakes in a row and now I want to play more horror games. I want to playAlan Wake 2but I’m waiting for a good sale. I didn’t like the firstThe Evil Withinat all but I’m willing to giveTEW2a try. I wanted to know if any of you have played it and what you think about it.”
“Um. With all my heart, HELL YES. One of my all-time favourite games ever” replied CosmicWanderer2814. “The Evil Withindid some great things, but it just did too many other things I didn’t like. The Evil Within 2does nearly everything significantly better. Played it back to back with theRE2remake, and honestly, I think I liked it just as much,” explained wagimus.
