PlayStation Plus free RPG has one of the biggest open worlds we’ve ever explored

We all know where this is going,The Witcher 3: Wild Huntis now available via PlayStation Plus and it’s huge, but did you ever realise just how big it’s open-world actually is?

When all is said and done there’ll only be a handful of games worthy of the title “masterpeice,” with the likes ofElden Ring,Red Dead Redemption 2andThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunttaking some of the top spots.

WIth the latter game now being available for those subscribed toPlayStation Plus, it allows even more people to try the game for the first time, or long-time fans replaying it for the umpteenth time.

But have you stopped and realised just how big the world ofThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntactually is?

The Witcher 3: Wild Huntappears around halfway into the video, with a map size of 135km squared.

This places the gameabovesuch games asAssassin’s Creed Odyssey, a game many would consider to be too big, especially when you’re having to sail across the ocean for several minutes at a time.

Games with even bigger maps included MMO titles likeWorld Of Warcraft,as well asThe Crew, Just Cause 3andMinecraft, with the top spot belonging toNo Man’s Sky.

Nevertheless it’s still an impressive feat forThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntto be bigger than some of Ubisoft’s open-world titles.

You’ll soon be able to playThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntin its entirety and at no additional cost via PlayStation Plus.

This only applies to those subscribed to the Extra and Premium tier, with the title joining the library tomorrow, 20 August.
