PlayStation Plus getting a ton of classic games we’ve been begging for

PlayStation Plus offers three tiers: essential, extra, and premium.

While the premium tier may boast the heftiest price tag, subscribers benefit from some nice perks.

They can enjoy cloud streaming, access to free trials of the latest releases, and then there’s the premium tier game catalogue - packed with nostalgic favourites from yesteryear.

That’s not to say that the premium tier is a perfect offering. Its catalogue isn’t as bountifully stocked as its extra tier counterpart.

That could soon be about to change though as it looks as if Sony is set to increase its emulatedPlayStation Plusofferings.

Sifulanded on the essential tier this month. Take a look at the game in action below.

PlayStationhas been working with Implicit Conversions for quite some time.

Over on the company’s website, they also mention working on bringing PS2 games to the PS4 and PS5, leading many to assume that the subscription service’s PS2 line-up will soon be expanding.

Additionally, Implicit Conversions mention working withRockstar,Konamiand Cyan Games alongside Sony.

This could be on unrelated projects but naturally, people are wondering whether this means some beloved classics are on the way to PlayStation Plus from those aforementioned studios.

In a few hours, Sony will announce this month’s extra and premium tier line-up, so we should see a dozen or so games join the service.

It’s unlikely we’ll see any of the aforementioned games land on the service just yet, but hopefully we’ll be satisfied with what’s announced nonetheless.
