PlayStation Plus' next free PS1 game accidentally confirmed early

Someone has had a quick look-see throughSony’sservers and somehow managed to determine which PS1 game will be given away next through the PlayStation Plus catalogue - and unfortunately they’re a little late releasing this classicPS1horror title, considering we just passed Halloween.

To clarify, I have no idea how exactly PS Plus deals was able to find this information, but it’s not the first time they’ve revealed info regarding an upcoming Sony listing.

Barker explained PS Deals “scraped Sony’s servers” to achieve this, so assumedly the info is pretty airtight.

The game in question is the 1996 classicAlone in the Dark 2, and info regarding the title’s inclusion in the PlayStation library is now availableon PS Deals’ website.

There’s no price as of yet, but the site does specify that the game will be dropping on November 7th and will be available on both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

However, both Barker and Gematsu (who originallyrevealed the leakin a tweet) think that the date specified is actually incorrect - with Barker theorising that the game will actually be available through the PS Plus Premium catalogue sometime in November instead.

All in all, the leak does make a lot of sense considering that the 2001 PS1 titleAlone in the Dark: The New Nightmareis already available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as of June this year.

However, the link that PS Deals has included forAlone in the Dark 2on the PlayStation Store website currently redirects to an error page, so we’ll have to wait until Sony reveals any more details regarding the PS1 horror classic to get any true confirmation.
