PlayStation Plus has had somewhat of a rocky year. Needless to say, the service’s price rise didn’t go over very well with fans.

Reddit user Jackyy205 began the discussion. “PS Plus is not worth it in my opinion,” theywrote. “The thing that made me want premium the most, and I think is for most people, is the classics game catalogue. And … it’s really not that great. […] I think the streaming kinda needs to be fixed. It’s really not that bad, but I’ve had some issues playing games. […] I actually think the demos are very cool, but we just had demos for free for years so paying for one hour demos is kinda weird.”

A diplomatic amillstonecommented, “Premium is great if you’re new to the PlayStation ecosystem and haven’t played some of the older games. Or if you don’t want to wait hours for a game you’re not sure about to download and just stream it instead. It has its uses but I think it only appeals to a minority of the player base.” Let’s hope PlayStation Plus fares better in 2024.
