You should also be aware that one of 2022’s most unfairly overlooked games is part of thePlayStationPlus Extra lineup, and I implore you not to sleep on it.
I’m referring to Tango Gameworks andBethesda’sGhostwire Tokyo. Originally released as a PlayStation exclusive before making its way over toXbox, it’s a stunning open-world action/horror hybrid steeped in Japanese folklore. Dear reader, it is excellent.
The game’s synopsis sums it up nicely, which makes sense given that’s what a synopsis is supposed to do: “Tokyo’s population has vanished, and deadly supernatural forces prowl the streets. Use an arsenal of elemental abilities to unravel the truth behind the disappearance and save Tokyo.”

While it’s far from the most original open-world game you’ll play, if you’re looking for something comforting and relatively mindless, you could do a lot worse thanGhostwire Tokyo’s stunning sandbox and checklist of supernatural chores.
Oh, andGhostwire Tokyois available on Xbox Game Pass too, so you’re covered regardless of platform. Go check it out!
