It’d be a huge disappointment if that were the case, as despite it being available for years many are yet to upgrade toSony’sshiny new console.
Commenting on the PS5 games added to the service, one user said it’s only natural for it to prioritise the new, upgraded versions of the games, saying “PS4 is a console from 2013, PS5 from 2020. We can state easily that from now on there will be more and more PS5 only games … it’s matter of fact that “newer” games will be for the new console.”
Another user pointed out that just because the games say PS5 on the cover doesn’t mean they won’t work on PS4, as many can play them with their current console and simply “upgrade to a PS5” version when they get a new console.

Finally one user said if there’s ever a game that won’t work on the PS4, users can still “add PS5 games to your library every month with the PlayStation app.”
It’s not all doom and gloom, after all more potential PS5 games offered through PlayStation Plus opens the door for more heavy-hitting exclusives, like God Of War or Marvel’s Spider-Man.
