The title was added toPlayStationPlusover a year agoand was actually a timed exclusive until it made its way over toXboxconsoles andXbox Game Pass. Recently though, it wasannouncedthe game would be leaving the service, and now it really is your last chance to play it while you don’t have to pay for it separately.
If you weren’t aware,Deathloopis an FPS that mixes hectic and explosive action with stealth and area exploration. The player will take control of a professional assassin who’s trapped in a time loop, leading to the world being reset when they die or reach the end of the day. The only way to escape the loop is to take out all targets, which is only possible through exploring the area, learning the layout, finding shortcuts and mastering the time loop to get the job done.
The game received mixed reviews, mainly from critics who praised the game with high scores, vs. players who weren’t as generous with their criticism. It’s currently sitting somewhere between 5/10-7/10 onMetacriticdepending on which platform you look at.
We loved the game though, declaring it ourPC Game Of The Yearin 2021, calling it a “killer mystery loaded with stylish violence” in our review, which you cancheck out here.
