Sea of Starsis impressing plenty of PlayStation Plus subscribers with its ‘cosy’ vibes. One player has taken to Reddit to express their thoughts.
The PlayStation Plus subscribercreated a threadasking members of the subreddit what else they should try as they’re “really enjoyingSea Of Stars” because of its “warm comfy vibe, cool music, light crafting, pretty pixel art and turn-based combat.” Replies flooded in quickly with some great gaming highlights.

“Sea of Stars is definitelyOctopath Traveler 2andChained Echoes” says u/adomaniac91 who definitelynails the vibe checkwith two more RPGs that would be a great step further into the genre for the original poster as they’d mentioned “Don’t think I’ve ever played a JRPG before.”
I have to give a special shout out to u/Routine_Armadillo_46 who recommended one of my own top three JRPGs with “Final Fantasy 9is one of my all time favourites.” Having played some ofSea of Stars, I have to back this recommendation as they both walk a similar line graphically, but also in tone and world-building.
More Final Fantasy was recommended, along withDragon Quest(my kingdom for a Dragon Quest VIII remake) from one user, while another threw it right back with a perfect suggestion of “Chrono Trigger” which has seen remastered release recently. A bit left-field, but stilla great thoughtcame from u/Bornstellar37 who gave a shout out toYakuza: Like a Dragonwhich definitely hits the JRPG ask and offers plenty of drama, as well as funny moments.
