Now it’s the turn ofPlayStationto pull a popular game offline.Gran Turismo Sportwas released for PlayStation 4 back in 2017, and all online services for the game will be pulled as of 31 January, 2024. To be fair that’s a lot more warning than FIFA fans got.

“We would like to thank the many users of theGran Turismo Sportonline service since its first launch in 2017. From here on, we will continue to further improve the online services for the currently available titleGran Turismo 7on PlayStation 4 system and PlayStation 5 console.”
Players will be able to keep all career progression and access tracks offline, but it will no longer be possible to earn trophies that require an online connection. Whether or not Sony will make a move to remove these trophies so that it’s still possible to get the Platinum forGran Turismo Sportremains to be seen, but I wouldn’t count on it. In other words, trophy hunters should probably get a wiggle on.
