PlayStation quietly releases new feature we’ve waited years for

PlayStation users are discovering that a new feature has become available despite any lack of announcement about it.

It could be argued that there’s no need for smaller updates to receive any public acknowledgement – they’re only minor adjustments, after all.

However, considering how manyPlayStationfans have been waiting years for this feature, it would have been nice to be alerted to its inclusion.

On the PlayStation subreddit, user nolifebr shared a screenshot of theHelldivers 2review page.

This might not sound all that significant, however, itiswhen you notice there’s somewhere to leave written feedback about the game.

Such features are commonplace onSteam, however, they’ve been severely lacking fromSony’s consoles.

Although a welcome change, the OP mentions that this is only available for “some games/users on PSN/store”.

Right off the bat, though, some fans are unhappy.

“Needs an ‘Hours Played’ tag for each review or just like the Xbox user reviews they will be pointless,”saidshadowglint.

Like someone else pointed out, seeing thousands of hours worth of play next to a comment that reads “this game’s sh*t” isn’t going to magically improve the usefulness of the review.

While written reviews aren’t always helpful, theycan be, which is why this feature is such a wonderful addition.

“Xbox reviews are pointless lots of times, but they can be helpful. People do leave good info like how to get past bugs, general tips and thoughts on gameplay.

There will always be people who leave pointless remarks, however, there will also be players who provide enough information to help you decide whether you want to play a game or not.

Consequently, we take the inclusion of written reviews as a positive.
