Knowing this is bad enough, but when you delve deeper into how close we came to that sequel, it’s so much worse.

Still, it’s evident from the cliffhangers abound inThe Order: 1869that there was more to the story than we’d already played.
Hopes for a follow-up have lingered for quite some time, however, now that the studio has closed down, the last of the fandom’s hope has died along with it.
“That is very unfortunate,” said Twitter user Otto Tieleman upon reading the news, “With lessons learned from the first game and the focus on gameplay this could have been an amazing IP.”

Others hid behind bittersweet jokes to voice their annoyance.

It “sucks” that we’ve been robbed of the chance of seeing how it all ends;The Order: 1869has its flaws, but it also holds such potential, too.
However unlikely it seems, some fans are still holding out for Sony to “do the right thing”.
