Unfortunately forSony, it is no stranger to hacks and data breaches. In 2011, Sony suffered an infamous cyberattack which not only resulted in thePlayStationNetwork being down for 20 days, but 77 million PSN account details were also leaked online.

In September this year, Sony sufferedyet another data breachfrom a ransom group that reportedly blackmailed the company to cough up cash or the obtained data would be sold. Following this attack, PlayStation gamers were urged to change their security settings and update passwords just to be on the safe side.
