PlayStation’s answer to Starfield becomes best-seller on PS5

Starfieldlooks set to be one of the biggest games of the year (quite literally), but unfortunately for PS5 gamers, it will not be coming to Sony’s console.

However, whileBethesda’sStarfieldisn’t coming to the PlayStation 5, due to it being aMicrosoft-owned property, there is an answer for gamers exclusive to the blue brand. The answer comes in the form of the upcomingBaldur’s Gate III.

We knowBaldur’s Gate IIIisn’t a sci-fi RPG, but it does share a similarity given the fact that it’s a massive fantasy RPG thatpromises around 200 hoursto finish its story. That being said, whileBaldur’s Gate IIIisn’t a complete exclusive, it will be a timed exclusive on Sony’s console. Still, it means that PlayStation 5 gamers can enjoy the fruits of its labour whileXboxgamers enjoyStarfield.

Baldur’s Gate IIIis out now onPCand is being met with high critical acclaim withscores as high as 95from critics and 9.2 from users on Metacritic. PlayStation 5 owners only have a short wait for its arrival next month. During that time,Baldur’s Gate IIIhas become a best-selling pre-order onPS5.

Sure, there is no doubt that fans will be disappointed thatStarfieldwon’t be coming to PlayStation 5 (though itnearly did), but at least some can take solace in the fact thatBaldur’s Gate IIIis a fantastic alternative.

It’s worth keeping in mind thatBaldur’s Gate IIIwill be coming to the green brand at some point, but following technical limitations of the Xbox Series S, the highly anticipated RPG hassuffered a major delay.

Baldur’s Gate IIIis out now on PC and arrives for PlayStation 5 on 6 September 2023, which just so happens to be the same release date asStarfield.
