PlayStation’s new console is being roasted over its ‘awful’ design

PlayStation’s new handheld companion device isn’t even out yet, but it’s already being roasted over what fans are calling its ‘awful’ design.

Earlier this summer, Sony held their first majorPlayStationShowcase in several years and let’s just say, it was pretty underwhelming. Several reveals were made but many were for cross-platform releases. BeyondMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, fans don’t really know what’s next for Sony. Many are convinced that they’re preparing for another showcase this summer, although that remains unconfirmed. Then again, amidst theThe Last of Us Part IIremaster rumours, and thatsuspected UnchartedandGhost of Tsushima 2footagewe saw earlier this year, there would be plenty to announce. One project Sony did pull back the curtain on though is Project Q.

Take a look at Project Q below.

Project Q isa new handheld devicethat’ll allow you to play your favourite PS5 games via remote play. It’s like a cross between a Nintendo Switch and a DualSense controller. It’s not a true standalone handheld as it does need to be linked to your base PS5 console to work, but it’s certainly exciting to see Sony once again dabbling in the handheld market. Project Q is due to launch later this year, although Sony have held back on revealing the release date for now.
