A brand new free-to-play title just landed onPlayStationconsoles last night, and it’s already receiving absolutely rave reviews.
InFold Games, the developers behind titles such asLove and DeepspaceandMr Love: Queen’s Choice(didn’t realise my autobiography had already been published), released their new game,Infinity Nikki, upon the world yesterday.
Now, if you’re not familiar with the game in any way, just give me a second to describe it before I tell you about the review scores. It’ll be worth it, I promise.

Infinity Nikkiis, from what I can tell after reading several reviews and watching hours of gameplay videos, a game about dressing up.
Take a look at the game in action below.
But that’s all in service toInfinity Nikki’s main goal; amassing dozens of cute outfits. That’s the end game.

Ok, now that’s out of the way,92% of reviewers on OpenCriticrecommend the game and it’s currently sitting at an80 out of 100 score on Metacritic.
IGN’s Carli Velocci even gave it a 9/10, and stated thatInfinity Nikkiis “perfectly girly positivity rolled up in a pink and sparkling package” in their conclusion.
Look, I’ll be honest with you, I never thought for one second that this was a game I’d be interested in playing.
I’m not against cute stuff, and I’m not trying to say I’m too masculine for it or anything (I actually own two pink t-shirts, thank you very much) but I just never thoughtInfinity Nikkiwould be my cup of tea.

But now I’ve watched all these gameplay videos… I think I get the hype.
Infinity Nikkijust looks cosy and simple. Stress-free and wholesome. The type of game you boot up after losing five online ranked matches in a row.
I started installing it before I even wrote this. I’ll let you know what my fave dress is tomorrow morning.
