It’s also based on a new character in theAstro Botgame itself, a sentient PlayStation 5 controller that Astro uses to soar across the galaxy on his adventures.
With a glossy white and blue finish, various grooves, and two adorable blue eyes on the touchpad, it’s a stunning piece of hardware and possibly the best controllerSonyhas designed yet.
Pre-orders went live last Friday, 9 August, and if you haven’t done yours yet, you’re running out of time to snag one at a fair price, otherwise scalpers might beat you to it.
Those of you in Europe or the UK have unfortunately missed out, as apparently it quickly became unavailable shortly after it went live on the PlayStation Direct website.

That being said, if you’re a citizen of the United States, you could still have a chance, so if you’re on the fence about adding this controller to your collection, I’d urge you to do so before it’s too late.
I was lucky enough to get one myself last Friday, and can’t wait to use it alongside the full game on 6 September, when both the game and the controller are released to the public.
