While the Pokemon anime has moved on, giving us a new hero to follow and a whole new ensemble to love, we can’t help but miss Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu. After all, many of us grew up while Ash was pursuing his dream to ‘catch ‘em all.’
It’s understandable that many miss him as he personified thePokemonfranchise to some degree, and certainly represented the brand beyond the games. The question is already out there, “will we see Ash and Pikachu return?’ even though they’ve not been gone for long. Well, we have an answer, of sorts.
Pokemon Horizons has gotten off to a great start and is the leading Pokemon anime

As oneperson says on Twitter, having him come back as an adult, would be the wisest decision and he could play the role of mentor. That would be a lovely full circle for his character arc.
