Pokémon Emeraldhas been gorgeously remade in a 3D format with Unreal Engine 5, and there’s a video documenting the entire process online right now.
The last fewPokémongames unfortunately haven’t lived up to expectations. While they haven’t been downright bad, they’ve failed to push the boat out in any meaningful way.
Perhaps the next Pokémon game will take the series in a fresher direction, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which you can check out below.
However, when The Pokémon Company andNintendodon’t do something, you’d best believe fans are willing to step in and do it themselves.

That’s exactly what happened when one fan and YouTuber, ArcSin Jesse, decided to remakePokémon: EmeraldinUnreal Engine5.
Now while my love and admiration will always go toPokémon: Platinumfirst and foremost, I can’t deny thatPokémon: Emeraldslapped in almost every way, which is a shame because physical copies will cost you an arm and a leg these days.
Fortunately this remake is free, and ArcSin Jesse has donea full videoon how it was achieved and all the hard work needed to pull it off.
Not only has the game been lovingly adapted into 3D, it’s also had several new models added, and you’ve simply got to admit they look fantastic even if you prefer the original sprites over 3D like I do.

Seeing Rayquaza depicted in his actual size is, dare I say, legendary, and if this was somehow released as a full game I’m sure many Pokémon fans would be happy.
Hopefully one day The Pokémon Company blesses us with a proper remake ofPokémon: Emerald, and hopefully it’s better than what they did with the Gen IV games.
