Oof, this one has really made me feel my age. As of today,PokémonGoldandPokémon Silverare 25 years old, following both games' November 21, 1999 release in Japan.
To celebrate their birthdays, The Pokémon Company has been rolling out a bunch of incredible-lookingGoldandSilverthemed merch.
The PokéJungle Game & Merch News Twitter accountrevealed a pictureof all of the goodies that are on offer, such as Lugia and Ho-Oh jackets, mugs that feature in-game artwork of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, and some “small plates” with Umbreon and Espeon on them.

Those “small” plates would only fit a “minuscule” UK portion size on them, which might be one of the reasons why you can’t currently grab any of these items outside of Japan.
Well, all except for two of them - and thankfully, they’re probably the two you wanted to grab the most.

Or, hey, get both. Bet you were that kid at school who bought two Gameboys so you could tradePokémonto yourself.

If you do like the look of the plushies, you may want to act fast as it sounds like they’ll only be available for a limited time.
If you fancied grabbing the rest of the merch, then don’t fret. The Pokémon Company does have a tendency to release some Japan-exclusive stuff to the rest of the world eventually, so keep an eye on the Pokémon Center for any further updates down the line.

Personally, if I was gonna grab one for myself, I’d get the Lugia one. But hey, that’s just because I only ownedSilverversion as a kid… which was somehow already 25 years ago…
