Pokémon Legends Mew looks like the game of our dreams

For better or worse, the Pokémon series has evolved into a different beast on the Nintendo Switch than it once was many years ago but this fan-made game is a dream come true.

When thePokémonseries made its debut on the originalNintendoGame Boy in 1996, it was a simple time but yet even back then, the series had a surprising amount of depth despite technical restrictions with the likes ofPokémon RedandGreen. As the years rolled on, the series evolved into a massive open-world with the last entry beingPokémon ScarletandViolet, which recently benefited fromfree DLCthat gamers can claim right now.

Hopefully, the Nintendo lawyers won’t be taking down this project, but you never truly know, especially when this indie game is using the Pokémon name in its title as well as creatures, likenesses, music and more. If that does become an issue, fingers crossed a few simple changes might avoid Nintendo’s wrath.
