Red Dead Redemption 2 60fps update finally looks likely

After news thatRed Dead Redemptionhad received a new update allowing it to run at 60FPS on the PlayStation 4, fans are hoping this means the same changes will be added to its sequel.

Yesterday saw Rockstar quietly adding anupdatetoRed Dead Redemptionwhich gives players access 60fps on PlayStation 5 (and the PS4 using backwards compatibility). The new toggle option was included with update 1.03 alongside “general bug fixes, stability fixes, and improvements”. WithRed Dead Redemptionoriginally releasing in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it was later remastered for current-gen consoles in August of this year. However, it earned some backlash after fans criticised the £50 price tag for less than desirable performance issues.

After the recent update, however, the PS5 option now offers players the chance to play at 60fps which fans are hoping will also be applied to its 2018 sequel,Red Dead Redemption 2.In the latest emails that were leaked during the Microsoft court case, one note read that customers could expect an updated version ofRDR2in Q2 2023. Although that period has passed, it could show thatRockstarare at least working on it, and we could see it implemented for the sequel soon.
