A Red Dead Redemption 2 player found a “secret” detail about Arthur Morgan, only to learn they were dead wrong in comical fashion.

One new player, dogbiscuitsareolay, recently made aReddit threadcommenting on the level of detail Rockstar Games put into the player’s character, and how they can change over the course of the game.
Of course as they progressed through the game they eventually realised that there was something far more sinister going on with Arthur’s coughing fits, following up on their post with an edit that simply read “Oh my god i was so wrong.”
As a new player you’d be forgiven for having the same line of thinking as dogbiscuitsareolay did, as there are plenty of ways to change Arthur’s behaviour and appearance through gameplay decisions.

If you eat too much food in the game Arthur will get fat, and if you look carefully at his face when he’s injured you can occasionallysee tears in his eyesfrom the pain.
