We’ve officially entered December which is set to be a huge month for the gaming industry. The Game Awards will be held on 7 December, with Geoff Keighley teasing several big surprises for the event’s 10 year anniversary. We also know that Rockstar Games will be dropping theGTA VItrailer this month.

Houser departed Rockstar Games in 2020. It’s a great sign that Unsworth is on board. He acted as vice president of writing at Rockstar and oversaw work on a variety of Rockstar’s most prominent titles. It’s believed he will head up Absurd Venture’s story and narrative output.
The studio will reportedly focus on creating “new universes” to “tell great stories”. As a ‘transmedia’ company, don’t expect Absurd Ventures to limit itself to the world of gaming. Given the talent already at the company, we should naturally expect gaming plans but I’m guessing that Houser is looking to experiment across disciplines. We’re excited to see more.
