Red Dead Redemption 2 players blown away by discovery of a ghost train

A player has taken to Reddit to celebrate them"finally" seeing the ghost traininRed Dead Redemption 2. It’s the game that keeps on giving, with new hidden details popping up every few weeks.

A vide shows the player riding alongside train tracks out in the wilderness when a train begins its approach. The only thing is, this train is practically invisible. It’s the merest suggestion of a train, a spectral vision gliding smoothly along the tracks.

RDR 2is known for these little touches here and there, much likeGrand Theft Auto. Someone replying to the original post expressed a love for the small details, “RDR 2had ghosts, the night folk, a UFO. Even a goddamn vampire.” Another comment agrees, “5 years later I’m still learning new stuff about this game.”

Apparently, this is a “super rare” occurrence, though one Redditor claims they saw it “before the tunnel at Cornwall oil and kerosene” so if you want to try and spot it for yourself, you can start the search there.

Rockstarhave been known for some time to put easter eggs within their games.GTA: San Andreaswas constantly in the rumour mill because players heard about bigfoot from their brother’s girlfriend’s cousins friend. A reply in to the Reddit post says, “if I didn’t know there is a ghost train, I would think it is a bug and the train is missing proper textures.”

I have to wonder if we’ll still be seeing these details in another five years. Games receive many patches and these tiny details could be added at any point, simply to string players along or offer more reason to revisit a game.
