
AlthoughRed Dead Redemption 3may be a few years away, it doesn’t mean fans can’t speculate as to what the next entry may entail.
That is exactly what has been taking place over on r/reddeadredemption when one posterasked: “WhyRDR3being a sequel toRDR1is a terrible idea. Why would you set a game when the Wild West is already over and almost all the characters ofRDR1and 2 are gone?”

WithRed Dead Redemptionfirst being released in 2010 andRed Dead Redemption 2following in 2018, it could be assumed that a third entry will not be expected until at least 2026. Not only that but withRockstar Gamescurrently hard at work withGrand Theft Auto 6,there may be an even bigger delay.

However, fans of the cowboy-inspired titles are more than happy to discuss ideas for the next instalment and it seems as though a lot of them would be happy to not only see a brand new setting but also some new faces.
One person said: “I thinkRDR3should be completely unrelated to any characters we’ve known thus far.”
As a result, it seems as though many fans would like to see the story based around a rival gang who operated around the same time as the Van der Linde gang. Others would like to see John Marston’s son, Jack take on the titular role now he has grown up.

It remains to be seen which direction Rockstar will go in but with the Red Dead series boasting hordes of fans, there is no doubt that we will all turn up regardless.
