So much so that players have recently been campaigning forUndead Nightmare 2.

First released way back in 2010 forRed Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmarewas a standalone expansion for the game which added a non-canonical zombie-horror themed story to theRockstarclassic.

Set in an alternate timeline, the story follows John Marston who has to set out to look for a possible cure for a zombie plague that has infected his wife and son.
Since 2010,Undead Nightmarehas followed alongsideRed Dead Redemptionwhen the game was remastered for theNintendo Switch,PlayStation 4, and more recently in 2024,Windows.
However, fans have recently been calling out forUndead Nightmare 2which would see Arthur Morgan face the zombie plague instead.

“So much creative freedom and they clearly had a lot of fun with the original.”
Although, as mentioned, Rockstar is currently hard at work onGrand Theft Auto VIahead of its Fall 2025 release, it seems as though plenty of fans agree with this sentiment.
“I also thought about how cool it would be if the undead aspect also included the occasional vampire and maybe in the northern sections of the map there would be werewolves,” another usersuggested.
“How cool would Arthur look in Van Helsing type gear dual wielding small semi auto crossbows and slaying vampires, or having to put silver bullets in your guns and shoot werewolves that move insanely fast in their hearts? It doesn’t have to just be zombies.”

“Here is how I would startUndead Nightmare 2. Sun is setting, camera pans down to Arthur Morgan’s grave, Arthur’s hand shoots out of the ground.
He crawls out of his grave and makes his way off the mountain, he is half man half zombie. He greets his horse that died at the foot of the mountain.
It’s the same horse in yourRDR2save game.
