All the buzz around these adaptations has led to fans theorising what video game franchise could be tackled next, with one of the biggest choices being the legendaryRed Dead Redemptionseries.
Fans have even made concepts for whatRockstar’sWestern IP could look like on the big or small screen, and there was even talk of a Red Dead Redemption film entering production in the years to come.
Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has stated the company is taking a “very selective approach to licensing” for films, and while it has plans forBorderlandsandBioShocklive-action projects, it believes a Red Dead Redemption film would be too risky of a venture.

Zelnick said it’d be reluctant to risk “someone else’s execution in another area of the entertainment business,” which basically means they don’t trust anyone to do the series justice in live-action.
