Red Dead Redemption remake seemingly confirmed as Rockstar drops new logo

It’s a project that’s been rumoured for years, but those rumours regained traction a month ago when the South Korean ratings board listed a new rating for the game. If you searchRed Dead Redemptionon the GRAC’s website,a new version was addedon 15 June 2023. This is totally separate from the original listing. Following on fromGrand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, fans are hoping that Rockstar learnt their lesson - althoughThe Definitive Editionwas a remaster and all signs point toRDRbeing a remake. Today, we have fresh evidence as a new logo for the game seemingly debuted onRockstar’s own site.

That’s surely confirmation of a remake as it’s a subtle way of distinguishing between the remake and the original, just like we hadThe Last of UsandThe Last of Us Part Iwhich are both very much two versions of the same game. It looks as if a full announcement is imminent then.

If Rockstar is waiting for a major showcase, Gamescom’s Opening Night Live takes place in a couple of weeks. Could that be when they make the big reveal? Then again, Rockstar could just drop it on us on social media out of nowhere. Either way, we’ll be keeping an eye out.
