The day has finally arrived.Red Dead Redemption is now available to play on Nintendo Switch and modern PlayStation consoles.
It’s not exactly what fans were originally hoping for. When ratings were spotted for an updated version ofRed Dead Redemption, insiders claimed thata full remake was in the works. We certainly didn’t end up with a remake. Instead, we got a port - and it’s a very nice port at that, but one that’s comeheavily under fire for its high price point. You have to admit that £40 for a ported version of a 13 year old game is pretty extortionate. It turns out though that the PlayStation 4 port ofRed Dead Redemptiondoes come with one tiny upgrade after all.
Take a look at the port in action below. It’s available today.

For now, the newly-releasedRed Dead Redemptionport is available via digital purchase only. It is getting a physical release, but you’ll have to wait until 13 October to get your hands on a physical copy. Pre-orders are open now.
Both versions of the game include access toUndead Nightmare, which I’m sure will be a delight to many fans seeing asRed Dead 2never got a version of the popular expansion. Go live your best yeehaw life.
