Remakes are all the rage right now, withResident Evil 4undoubtedly being one of 2023’s very best.
There are plenty more on the way, includingSilent Hill 2,Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, andMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. We could also be gettingStar Wars:Knights of the Old RepublicandPrince of Persia: The Sands of Time, although both of those projects look to be in trouble. If you speak toResident Evilfans and ask them which franchise entry they’d like to see adapted next, I’m going to take a wild guess and say that the vast majority of people would answer with the very excellentResident Evil - Code: Veronica.

If you hop on over to social media, it won’t take you long to find a whole legion of fans calling for a remake. “I will not rest until I have theRE: Code Veronicaremake,” one Twitter userwrote, with anotheradding, “I’d never really say that any of the other RE games need a remake. This is the major exception.Code Veronica100% needs a remake, badly.”
Back in March, wereported on a pollwhich asked Resi fans which game they’d like to see remade next. Almost 80% voted forCode: Veronica, a clear majority. If you’re looking for a more immediate fix while we await for Capcom to reveal their plans, there is afan-made remakeof the game and it boasts some very impressive gameplay.
