It’s fair to say that when it comes to faithful remakes with plenty of twists and turns, Resident Evil developer Capcom knocks it out of the park.
TheResident Evilseries began in 1996 and helped put the survival horror genre on the map and helped Capcom be known for more than justStreet Fighterand Mega Man. The original Resident Evil trilogy from 1996 to 1999 are true classics of yesterday but in 2019, a new legion of fans was welcomed with the fantasticResident Evil 2remake.

WhileCapcom’sfirst remake in the series arrived on theNintendoGameCube in 2002,Resident Evil 2(2019) was a different beast entirely due to the far more advanced software and technology of today and as a result, Capcom fans have been itching (tasty) for even more remakes from the series such asResident Evil Code: Veronica,Resident Evil: Outbreakand more. One other remake that fans would love to see is the dino survival horror of 1999,Dino Crisis.

It’s quite baffling to think that given the success of the Resident Evil remakes, Capcom still hasn’t announced aDino Crisisremake, especially when it’s something that fans are desperate to see and will no doubt print money for the company. That being said, it wouldn’t be surprising to see aDino Crisis remake one day, especially as Capcom has been teasing fans of its potential revival, the most recent of which was this February.
It remains to be seen what Capcom will announce next. New Resident Evil and Street Fighter games are always likely, but modern versions ofDino Crisis,OnimushaandDead Risingwould no doubt please the legion of fans both new and old.
