TheSteam listingfor the game also states that there’s some alternate history going on inTrench Tales’story, describing it as a “story-driven third-person action game set in a dark, alternative world between WWI and WWII”.

The game is probably best known for its rather impressiveKickstarter campaignthat launched back in May this year. The campaign ended with around $156,517 pledged, well over its initial $60,000 goal.

Unfortunately for those looking to play the game on consoles, it seems a PS5 and Xbox port is far from confirmed.

The final stretch goal for the game at $250,000 was specifically for “Console Ports”, which it was just under $100,000 off from reaching.

It seems it’s still more than possible the game will see release on consoles though, at least according tothe FAQson the Kickstarter page.

As Alexander himself stated: “My goal is to make the game available on consoles, but currently, being solo, it might be difficult to achieve…”

“As I develop the game, including UI/UX and all interactions,” he continued, “I am constantly keeping consoles in mind to simplify the entire porting process.”

So, potentially, ifTrench Talesmakes some waves on Steam when it drops, a console port may still be possible. Hopefully it makes a good impression when it launches on its currently undefined release date.
