Don’t get me wrong, as a devoted fan of the series, I still enjoyedResident Evil Zero, which was originally released during the same year as the critically acclaimedNintendoGameCube remake in 2002.Resident Evil Zerohad some cool ideas such as dual protagonists with Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen that players could switch between on the fly.

Recently, Dusk Golem claimed thatResident Evil 9is being officially revealedsoon and will be released early next year, however, that no longer seems the case. Then another industry leaker, DanielRPK claimed that the originalResident Evilis getting another remake.
Now in a morerecent tweet, Dusk Golem not only claims thatResident Evil 9isn’t being revealed this year but that we’re instead getting the highly requestedResident Evil Code: Veronicaremakeand the aforementioned remake ofResident Evil Zero.

Of course, we should take all rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, I am a believer in there being no smoke without fire, so hopefully, there is at least some truth to the rumours.
As for the most recent entry in the series, theResident Evil 4remake and itsSeparate WaysDLC is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
