Speaking to The Guardian, Pegg commented on those asking for a sequel saying, “If I ever do an Instagram Live or whatever, people are always like, ‘I needShaun of the Dead 2in my life.” Apparently it occurs often for the Hollywood star, so often that he has definitively said, “No, you don’t f**king needShaun of the Dead 2! The last thing you need isShaun of the Dead 2! It’s done. Move on!”
It’s unlikely the Cornetto team could hit this high peak again, though it would be nice
He’s right. We don’t need it.Shaun of the Deadis at the peak of the horror comedy genre, it’s up there withCabin in the WoodsandTucker and Dale Vs Evil. It’s a film so good that a sequel isn’t needed, just rewatch the goddamn film and quote it while you watch. There’s probably another reason as to why Pegg, Wright and Frost won’t go back to the film, they don’t want to ruin something so beloved because, let’s be honest, the third part of the trilogy,The Worlds End, was terrible compared toShaun of the DeadandHot Fuzz.

Pegg has found fame more recently with the Mission Impossible films alongside Tom Cruise, and whether he returns to British comedy projects is yet to be seen. For now, stop asking him about a Shaun sequel.
