Started a few years ago, thepetitionis an attempt to urge a developer/publisher to either make a sequel toThe Simpsons: Hit & Run, orremake/remaster it for modern audiences and platforms.

The Simpsons: Hit & Runis cool, but have you seen Homer Simpson inGod Of War?

Hit & Runis considered to be the greatest Simpsons game ever made, allowing players to cruise around various locations within Springfield like a watered-down version ofGrand Theft Auto.

The petition believes a remake should feature even more playable characters, including fan favourites, more vehicles to unlock and a more interconnected open world that expands on the original. It also calls for more things to see and do while exploring, like more collectables.

Speaking about the petition, its organiser Hassaan Mohammad said: “Public demand definitely warrants a sequel and I’m astonished one hasn’t been made yet, or alternatively a remastering of the original game … If you are nostalgic about this game and would love to see another one made, you know what to do!”

Fans are obviously in agreement, as 30,000 thousand have signed, in the hopes that a sequel/remake is made forXbox,PlayStation,PCand possibly evenNintendoconsoles.

Unfortunately, it’ll likely need many, many, many more signatures for it to even come close to becoming a reality, but there’s clearly a strong desire to see the game return in some shape or form.
