Over the horizon, there’s a new fantasy RPG that could very well become your next favourite game. We’ve only seen a very brief trailer along with some screenshots and it’s looking like this one will take over our lives when it releases in February 2025.
Dragonkin: The Banishedappears to be mashing up lots of brilliant fantasy tropes and wearing its inspirations on its sleeve. There’s a little bit ofBaldur’s Gate 3in there and a lot ofSkyrimtoo. I already wish we could see more, but as the release date is so distant, we may get a glimpse this summer and hopefully it lives up to its potential.
There are definitely shades of Baldur’s Gate 3 in Dragonkin: The Banished

There’s going to be a lot of theory-crafting when it comes to constructing a character build as players “Select from the abilities available and try out multiple combinations to optimize your hero.” I can already imagine the kinds of characters we’ll see online when people start putting abilities together to knock out tough bosses.
Dragonkin: The Banishedcan’t get here soon enough and it will surely steal away many hours of our lives when it arrives in 2025.
