Unfortunately,The Elder Scrolls VIcontinues to remain a complete and utter mystery. We know that it’s happening, of course, but as for what it’ll be about or when it’s targeted to launch, Bethesda is keeping a tight lid on things.
Starfieldhas now finally launched, several months ago in fact, but that doesn’t mean that the work ends there. Devs will be busy providing post-launch support, including the addition of player-requested featureslike city mapswhich we know are landing this year, as is theShattered Spaceexpansion. The studio is also working onFallout4’s new-gen patch but it’s all very much quiet onThe Elder Scrollsfront. Thankfully,Skyrim’s fan community is just as buzzing today as it was 13 years ago, and the new Dark Hierophant Magic mod has left fans, dare I say, spellbound.

Kittytail confirmed that scrolls and spell tomes can be crafted at the Ghostlight Altar in the Forgotten Vale. Let’s dive into those spells: Penance fires a blade of light that deals 60 points of health, stamina, and magicka damage, while Penance Aura - Fanning will stagger opponents for 12 seconds, dealing 40 damage. Retribution triggers a barrier of light, staggering enemies and causing 40 damage, while Penance Aura - Shielding causes 40 damage to opponents in melee range for 12 seconds.
