Skyrim fan discovers unusual alternate ending for pacifists

Being a pacifist isn’t easy when playingSkyrim.

There’s just so many NPCs in thisElder Scrollstale that are out for blood.

As if that didn’t already complicate matters, there’s also quests that are designed to force you into making a difficult choice.

Often, said choice ends in death, and hopefully not yours.

One quest that’s proven a tricky one to outsmart is ‘A Night to Remember’.

We won’t go over too many of the plot points because we assume you know them already, however, for those who might not be well versed in its lore, here’s a brief overview.

Unfortunately, it’s difficult to avoid having to kill the Hagraven in order for the quest to continue as normal and thus free the Dragonborn from their grip.

Note how we didn’t say impossible.

Turns out, if you play your cards right, you can avoid the deadly confrontation.

Skyrimplayer AutomatedMiner shared this information on Reddit in the hopes it’ll help others to play a pacifist playthrough.

“As part of this quest, you must kill the Hagraven to continue (in the normal progression). Perhaps, like me, you object to this, in which case this guide will prove helpful,’ the OP begins.

“This happens after interacting with Ysolda, in Whiterun - however, upon passing a speech check (I had level 80 speech, not sure of the exact value needed), Ysolda will reveal the ceremony is in Morvunskar, allowing this to be skipped.”

But wait, there’s more to this guide.

The OP added, “If you do this, travelling to Witchmist Grove (where the Hagraven lives) will uncover the still living, non-hostile Hagraven Moira! May this information prove useful in your journey.”

You can choose to act in haste and violence if you want, but there’s another way.
