Skyrim fans blown away by gameplay for upcoming Morrowind remake

The Elder Scrolls VIremains far out of reach. Bethesda may now have launchedStarfield, but developers are hard at work providing post-launch support and will be for quite some time.

A number of player-requested features are in the works,like city maps, and then there’sShattered Spaceexpansion. We have no idea when that’s due to land or what it’s even about, simply that access was included in deluxe editions of the game. When focus does eventually shift away fromStarfield,The Elder Scrolls VIis next in line, ahead ofFallout5. In the meantime, you may be finding yourself craving some fresh content from the franchise. Well, an enormousMorrowindfan-made remake is in the works and let me tell you, it is a thing of beauty.

The Elder Scrolls Renewal: Skywindhas been in the works for quite some time. Creators are essentially remakingThe Elder Scrolls III: MorrowindusingSkyrim: Special Edition’s engine - and they’re taking their time in the best way. Based on the footage we’ve seen so far,Skywindlooks to be of incredibly high quality, going toe-to-toe with Bethesda.

TheSkywindproject “sheds the shackles of the older game, bringing modern graphics, assets, and sounds, a full cast of voice actors, and all the benefits of fifteen years of gaming improvements, while preserving the incredible characters, locations, and quests with whichMorrowindcharmed the world all those years ago,” according to the official website.

The project remains without a release date, but you can subscribe to theTESR SkywindYouTube channel to follow along with all updates. Of course, as soon as there is a release date, we’ll be certain to report on it.
