The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimwas initially released in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 before being ported to just about every platform imaginable, which was coincidentally the same year that Shirley Curry hadjoinedthe social media platform,YouTube. However,Skyrimwasn’t the first game that Shirley had played, that honour belongs to turn-based strategyCivilization II.

It wasn’t until 2015 when Shirley uploaded her firstSkyrimvideo to YouTube and I think it’s fair to say that her life had changed forever. Since that time, Shirley now aged 87 has uploaded over 2,200 videos and garnered over 1.3 million subscribers. To this day, Skyrim grandma continues to upload multiple videos pretty much every week to her channel for her subscribers to enjoy.

As most of us know,BethesdarevealedThe Elder Scrolls VIat E3 2018 but since that time we’re no closer to knowing when the highly anticipated fantasy RPG might be released, at least officially. It’s been rumoured that therelease date forThe Elder Scrolls VImight be two or three years away. What’s more, there’s even a chance that itmight be released on PlayStation 5, despite Microsoft owning Bethesda.
During a PAX East event, a fan in attendance at a Shirley Curry Q&A panel, named DamacodudeaskedSkyrim grandma if she has a message for Bethesda chief Todd Howard. She replied “Hurry up and finishThe Elder Scrolls VI. I want to play it before I die.”
Time is most certainly of the essence. I’d like to think that Bethesda has already created Shirley Curry’s NPC character model and recorded dialogue forThe Elder Scrolls VIahead of its big release, whenever possible. At the very least, I just hope that she gets the opportunity to play the game.
