AnElder Scrolls V: Skyrimmodder has created a touching tribute to his late mother, right at the start of the game.

Available vai NexusMods, its titlereadsIn memory of my Mom, and places a shrine dedicated to the modder’s mum, who passed away at 46, in the beginning area of the game.

The shrine itself is reportedly an altered Mara shrine, which when interacted with cures the player of disease while fortifying their health, magic and stamina. It’s positioned just outside the area the game starts in, because according to the modder their mum “suffered from a severe case of restartitis” and would frequently begin a new save file.
It’s an incredibly touching story, and it’s lovely to think something as simple as a video game can hold such a deeper meaning in the hearts of players and the ones they played the game with.
Similar tributes have been featured in others, such asStarfieldwhen one player requested the aid of fans to make their in-game character lookas close to their late father as possible, which they happily helped with.
