The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimis a massive game not just in map size but also the sheer amount of quests that you can partake in, secrets to discover and NPCs to interact with but what if you made its map of Tamriel feel like a barren wasteland void of life?
When Bethesda launchedThe Elder ScrollsV:Skyrimin 2011 forPC,PlayStation3 andXbox360, few would have predicted the massive success it would become. Sure,Bethesdawould have had high expectations but the fact that players are still enjoying the beloved fantasy RPG to this very day is a testament to how good it is.

There’s no telling the exact number of NPCs that live inSkyrim’sversion of Tamriel but it would be safe to assume that it might be well into the thousands - and that’s not taking into account wildlife and monsters. So, if for whatever reason you wanted to make the Dark Brotherhood extra proud, killing every NPC inSkyrimmight earn you some major brownie points.

So what happens if you kill every NPC inSkyrim, I hear you ask? Well, other than feeling less full of life, it could mean that you might not be able to finish the game unless you have a specific mod activated.
Some of the game’s most important quests are associated with NPCs, and if those NPCs no longer exist, then you’re not going to be able to progress any further inSkyrim. This makes me wonder, is this time-consuming activity really worth the hassle?
