Skyrim player wowed by secret mountain location a lot of us missed for years

A part of me wonders, upon reading about this Skyrim discovery, how any player of that game doesn’t instantly see a mountain and think “Yeah, I’m gonna climb that.”

I am very much in the camp of climbing every mountain in every game, it has to be done, like looking behind waterfalls. However, thisSkyrimplayer hadn’t and got a lovely little nice surprise.

The urge to replaySkyrim, but in VR this time, is strong

They brought the newsto Reddit, as one does, and told the group that after playing the game for six years they had never discovered that the peaks of the mountains have discoverable names.

“Randomly climbed this mountain only to discover at the very top is a hidden discoverable location (Mortrag Peak, south of Castle Karstaag Ruins),” they explained.

“[There are] Four in total on Solsthiem. Pretty difficult to reach, and you have to be at the very top to trigger it,”saidMisanthropyIsAVirtue.

SiriusBaaz breaks it down even further, saying, “Each peak has a location marker. If I remember correctly it’s another reference to Morrowind but I’ve got a real fuzzy memory of Morrowind’s DLC.”

I hope this player goes on to climb all of the mountains and see the far reaches of the land from such a lofty position.

The moral of the story is to climb everything, and explore everywhere, even if it means going out of bounds.

To be fair, the original poster did try again at a different mountainexplaining, “Yeah, I tried to get to Frykte Peak for like 20 or so minutes but couldn’t get past the last part.”

A special thanks to Reddit for pointing this out for us so we could tell other players about it.
