Skyrim voted Bethesda’s greatest game by fans

Bethesda fans have crowned The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as the developer’s greatest game.

While millions have gamers have launched themselves intoStarfieldat superliminal speed, for many, the game’s sci-fi aesthetic and theme just won’t be all that appealing.

Originally released all the way back in 2011,Skyrimwas actually so ahead of its time that it warranted a re-release, and then another, and then another, and you get the idea.

Its popularity hasn’t dwindled over the years, thanks to a solid story, action-packed gameplay, some wonderful questlines, DLC, and of course, mods.

It’d be an understatement to say the mod community has kept the game alive with new content, often in the form of gameplay and graphical tweaks, but sometimes enormous,original story expansions.

Many gamers still believeSkyrimto be as fantastic as the day it was dropped, and recently fans crowned it the king of Bethesda’s major RPGs.

Through a poll on Twitter, weaskedgamers to select what they believe to be the greatest Bethesda game of all time, with options consisting ofThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion,Fallout3andStarfield.

While we can’t argue all four games aren’t quality RPGs, there’s just no denying thatSkyrimhas something about it that keeps gamers coming back. Whether it be the gorgeous landscapes, the colourful cast of characters, mighty dragons and classic Bethesda jank/bugs.
