Usually, it happens the other way around and fans of a game are begging developers to push out updates or patches, but for a slice of theSkyrimcommunity players are fed up with the game’s support.
Recently, a fan ofSkyrimtook to Redditto putBethesdaon blast saying, quite bluntly, “Bethesda needs to STOP F**KING UPDATING THIS GAME.” It’s a bold way to start a conversation and the post went on, “Seriously it’s a very old game, and because they are brain dead and keep updating it it makes modding hard as hell.” It’s a lot of anger and vitriol, but a sentiment that seems to be well supported.
Skyrim still has a very passionate fan base even after a decade
Several replies echo the stance withone user saying, “I turned off the updates from Steam” doing so because the game would stay on the preferred version.Another comment reads, “Bethesda needs to move on fromSkyrimtbh. I’m aware it’s their cash cow but it’s literally been more than a decade at this point. Let. It. Go.”
