Have you ever looked up to the stars above Tamriel and wondered what it would be like to explore them? Perhaps if we were to fly out of Tamriel, we would embark on an epicStarfieldadventure.

Well, it seems that those stars above us aren’t floating in space; because there is apparently no space aboveSkyrim’sTamriel, or at least, in the way that we might think of it. According to Den of the Geek, the beautiful sky and stars inSkyrimare actually a darkness of reality and unreality called the Aubris.

The Aubris is holding our mortal plane in Tamriel together and it is believed that theoretically, Mehrunes Dagon’s realm can be seen in the “stars” and its moons are places that we’ll visit at some point in the game which implies “nothing about Tamriel is a standard fantasy realm.”

For added context, Mehrunes Dagon is one of the 17th Daedric Princes of Oblivion and is one of the big evils of The Elder Scrolls series. So it’s possible that everything we do inSkyrim, in some way, could be instigated under the thumb of the sinister Daedric Prince.
