Spider-Man 4 is closer than you think after filming update drops

The next Spider-Man film will reportedly begin filming in May 2025, giving us a hint as to when we could see it reach the big-screen.

TheMarvelCinematic Universe is going to make history when it releases Tom Holland’sSpider-Man 4, the first time a live-actionSpideyhas received a fourth film, though Tobey Maguire got awfully close.

Spider-Man isn’t the only wall-crawler returning to our screens though. It’s Venom’s final battle inVenom: The Last Dance.

That being said, fans are mixed on the right way to do it, as it’s said Marvel Studios is pushing for a more grounded Spider-Man story whereas Sony wants Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire back for another multiversal adventure.

Now it’s beensaidthat filming begins sometime in May 2025, and will run for approximately six months until October.

That means the film’s release could happen in either 2026, which will likely give us the best indication of whether it’s a multiverse story or not as it’ll be somewhere around the next twoAvengersfilms.

It could be the case that the film takes a similar approach toAntman and The Wasp, where it’s released during the Avengers hype but tells a story set before the events of the films, with a post-credit scene that brings Spider-Man back into the larger story.
